Summary Statement:
The Project Controls Lead supports the global project management team in the design, planning, and execution of company infrastructure by providing management with critical, decision-making information that ensures projects deliver on time and on budget.
This role will closely collaborate with other functional teams throughout the project lifecycle to 1) ensure adequate definition of scope, cost, and schedule; 2) establish reasonable baselines; 3) identify and manage risk; and 4) track, monitor, and report project performance.
The global project management team can then make valuable recommendations that drive project performance.
Principle Duties:
Working with engineering and capital asset management, develop standardized Project Controls practices for the global project management team.
Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that quality assets are delivered to the company on budget and on schedule.
Provide support in the development and management of project budget and schedule including change management, estimating, tracking progress, and forecasting based on project understanding from team members.
Working with Project Managers, establish project baselines and report variances, including projects risks and mitigation plans.
Provide support to track project progress and perform analysis of bottlenecks, trends and critical path.
Prepare project status presentations, highlighting key accomplishments, risks and changes.
Develop custom project reports as needed to facilitate project discussions.
Willingness to travel and visit project sites.
Track project deliverable & monitor physical percent complete (tracking installed quantities).
Provide project cost data and supporting documentation including reports on actuals, variances, and trends.
Ensures proper change management throughout the project phases.
Review and validate contractual compliance of project invoices.
At the completion of the project, develop and ensure recording of the project's historical cost information and lessons learned for future use.
Develop customized schedule reports as per project needs.
Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications/Requirements Required:
Four-year relevant Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years or more project controls work on engineering and construction projects, including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, and project reports OR ten (10) years or more of relevant Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, Experience with SAP a plus.
Preferred:
Experienced setting up and monitoring complex project schedules and estimates.
Willingness to travel and visit project sites.
Self-directed organization and prioritization skills to execute work accurately, handle multiple priorities, and analyze reports and trend activities.
Excels in a team setting by clearly communicating project information and by listening effectively and inviting responses.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
