Summary:
Client is seeking an energetic and talented developer to deliver innovative customer facing solutions for several eCommerce initiatives. We are looking for a Java /J2EE Developer for the development and design of web components and services to introduce new capabilities and services for our online customers on a highly scalable eCommerce platform.

Responsibilities:
Work cross-functionally in evaluating new technology, both proprietary and open source, for use in the Android/iOS application environment
Designs and implements new web service features across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, etc), including the service development, architecture design, technology build and deployment activities.
Assisting in refining and enhancing mobile architectures and frameworks. Applies experience with electronic commerce and the impact of the Internet and Mobile technologies on traditional business
Identify and develop innovative solutions that enable business strategies and that are highly scalable and performing
Design & Develop eCommerce solutions using Java 1.5 and above, XML, SOAP, AJAX, JBOSS, Tomcat, Spring, Struts, Hibernate and other web technologies
Design scalable features
Create feature designs that fit into the overall system architecture Create designs that are adequately scalable or that appropriately enable scenarios
Analysis of business requirements and subsequent creation of high level technical design documents and technical specifications
Clearly communicate comments on code, specifications, or design so that others can adequately review work Communicate gaps in business and technical functionality and assess impact to timelines Work with other internal IT teams to complete project activities, such as Infrastructure, Architecture and Database teams.
Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology, always on a look out for new technologies and work with management and development team in bringing new technologies.
Proactively provide status updates
Provide updates to others that are clear, concise, and complete
Write unit tests for each function for a feature that effectively exercise the code; identify bugs or design issues
Proactively develop automation tools or techniques to test code
Submit complete bug fixes
Proficient in debugging techniques and tools Unit and system testing of application code, as well as execution of implementation activities.
Drive innovation and new ideas throughout the delivery teams
SKILLS & QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:
BS Degree
The ideal candidate must have minimum 3 years coding experience using Java/J2EE
The ideal candidate must have hands on experience building a complete J2EE web based application
The ideal candidate must have hands on experience in SOA Rest/SOAP web services
The ideal candidate must have minimum 3 years experience with backend databases such as MySQL, Oracle and DB2
Must have good understanding of data structures and algorithms
Must have experience in Agile development
Must have excellent communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Experience in Hbase/Hadoop/MongoEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
