ITA Group creates and manages events, incentives and recognition programs that align and motivate our clients' people. ITA Group is searching for a talented Business Development Manager (BDM) to work in our Hoffman Estates sales office. The BDM is responsible for creating demand for ITA Group's products and services and generating new business.

Position requirements include:
o Bachelor's degree with a concentration of studies in the area of marketing, communications, journalism, advertising or promotions
o Ten years successful experience selling intangibles, services or consulting
o Fortune 1000 sales experience
o Selling to sales and marketing executives at the highest levels within an organization
o Effective selling techniques and strategies
o Clear understanding of marketing applications and solutions and the ability to develop marketing strategies in targeted industries.
o Excellent written and oral presentation skills
o Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and superior customer service, while maintaining a positive attitude and work environment
o Ability to manage multiple responsibilities
o Ability to be creative while analytically viewing challenges to develop client-focused solutions
o Excellent relationship building skills with a strong business acumen and aptitude to identify key business issues

MORE INFORMATION: -Compensation breakdown: -Base+advance on future earned commission+commission -Base+advance=$120-130k, which is a guaranteed salary -Year 1: 0 earn through, the candidate will not have to "pay back" the commission before earning additional commission (on top of the $120k salary) -Year 2: 50% earn through -Year 3: 100% earn through -Local candidates with previous relationships are ideal. Look for candidates with relationship with fortune 500 companies or Fortune 1000 -Will not offer relocation -Travel: There will be local travel in their market and to the Corporate office in Des Moines, Iowa. Candidates will most likely also travel on the programs they manage, like incentive trips and meetings--they will be helping to manage the program or event. Program operations could last anywhere from 5-10 days at a time -Candidates will be working out of a sales office reporting up to the Regional VP. Usually there are anywhere from 4-7 sales people in each office. Most offices have a strategic account planner that will work with the regional team of sales people as well. type of candidate: Someone will about 6-10 years, up and comers, someone who is highly motivated, very driven, should be good problem solvers and critical thinkers. Candidates must be able to develop strong partnerships with clients to become an extension of their companies. Preferred industries: open but technology could definitely be helpful, there are tech components within our solutions Why ITA? What kinds of people succeed in your organization?
Candidates with strong track records of success in a hunter sales role and career stability. Looking especially for candidates that have either sold technology or an intangible solution/service. Candidates who tend to have experience with the same position for more than 2-3 years can demonstrate their proven track records.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
