Job Description Arcadis is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Construction Supervisor to be based in our Belvidere, IL
office and reporting directly to a local project site. The HSE Construction Technician will support the Arcadis Field Tech Services group (AFS). This position is designed for an individual with 5
years of experience in the construction, environmental, demolition, and/or safety field and is familiar with heavy equipment operation and large-scale construction/demolition activity.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Full time assignment involving 100% travel to complete a variety of health and safety related large scale demo/construction projects. Oversight of multiple contractor's performance of health, safety, and environmental, during demo/construction activities in accordance with OSHA regulations and client policy/procedures.
Preparation of daily and weekly HSE observations and other documentation.
Interaction with client representatives and provide potential solutions as they are identified
Potentially use, calibrate and maintain various field safety instrumentation
Participation in or leading daily health and safety meetings with multiple contractors
Interaction with construction contractor management and driving a strong H&S culture through the project duration
Perform worker and task observations to identify questionable behaviors. Work with team to develop appropriate solutions to mitigate site hazards.
Preparation of correspondence and reports of increasing complexity
Communication with clients, government agencies and contractors in support of project assignments
Management of onsite staff (HSE Construction Techs)
Provide direction with onsite staff and interact with the project management team
Lead the HSE effort on behalf of Arcadis and the client for safe work implementation on the project
Ability to solve problems and implement solutions in a dynamic and challenging project environment
Required Qualifications
Experience in H&S and managing multiple contractors
Experience in Demo/Construction Site Activities
Experience in HazComm/Chemical storage
Experience using MS Office Suite products required
Extensive travel required

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
